Attending the two days of workshops allowed for deep learning in full and half-day sessions, and also provided a wonderful opportunity to meet others in a smaller setting, which meant when the conference started with a much larger crowd I was not overwhelmed.
aes24 grant recipientThe biggest benefit has been the strengthening of my professional networks, and learning from others in the field so we can benefit from each other. It was also beneficial to have many First Nations people there, as often we do not have the time to stop and connect, but are facing similar challenges and obstacles.
